Healthy Eating is the most essential thing to prevent many diseases like food poisoning, diarrhea etc. Your food must contain proper nutrients which cover all the vitamins and minerals to prevent deficiency of these. Their deficiency can cause great damage to your body and you might feel tired, pain or something like that all day long. Healthy eating keeps your body in a good shape and prevents your body from gaining unwanted weight. It keeps you healthy and active both physically and mentally. But remember any nutrient, when taken to excess, may have negative effects as well. So you must keep a limit of consuming food whether it is healthy or not. In this blog I am going to tell you what to eat and what not to eat to maintain a proper diet.
The things that I would suggest you to eat are:-
1. Fresh Fruits:-
You should consume as much fresh fruits as possible. Fruits like apples, bananas, oranges etc are very healthy foods that give you enormous advantages. In fact, every fruit is healthy. Every fruit is rich in something for example; Apples are high in fiber, vitamin C and contain numerous antioxidants. Similarly Strawberries are loaded with vitamin C, fiber and manganese, and are low in calories. In the same way every fruit is healthy for you.
2. Fresh Vegetables:-
Fresh Vegetables should also be included in your balanced diet. Like fruits vegetables are also considered as healthy foods. Every vegetable is rich in something for example; Asparagus contains a good amount of Vitamin K and is low in calories. Broccoli contains both vitamin K and C and contains a decent amount of protein compared to other vegetables. Like these vegetables every vegetable is healthy.
3. Green Vegetables:-
Among vegetables, green vegetables are considered as more healthy. All the green vegetables are rich in protein. They also contain essential minerals as well. Like Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, A, E, B2, B6, C manganese, magnesium, iron, calcium and potassium. Similarly Okra commonly known as ladyfinger contains a good amount of thiamin, vitamin B6, B2, folic acid, zinc, calcium and magnesium. The purpose of telling you about this is that just look at the minerals and essential things contained in green vegetables. They are very rich and can cover up almost every deficiency.
4. Dairy Products:-
Most people don’t like dairy products. But they are very essential and can be included in healthy eating. Dairy products like milk, yogurt etc are very rich in calcium and calcium helps strengthening your bones.
5. Legumes:-
Legumes like green beans, kidney beans etc are also very healthy for you. Green beans contain little amounts of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, vitamin A, K and folate. Another legume i.e. Kidney beans contain fiber, starch, antioxidants, iron, manganese, folate, phosphorous, potassium and magnesium.
6. Grains:-
Consumption of grains is healthy as well. Most people prefer grains in breakfast. They are very energetic and are very rich in certain minerals. For example; Brown Rice is fairly nutritious with a decent amount of fiber, vitamin B1 and magnesium. Oats are very healthy. They contain a lot of nutrients.
7. Fish and Seafood:-
Fish and Seafood is very tasty to eat and is considered as one of the healthiest food as well. Fishes are extremely good for those people who have a problem of long/short sightedness or any sight or vision problem. They contain a considerable amount of protein. Seafood like Shrimp is low in calories and fat but very high in protein. Tuna a type of fish is also low in calories and fat but very high in protein.
8. Dry Fruits:-
Dry fruits are also considered to be very healthy food. They are high in fat and calories but they can help you lose weight. For example; Almond is loaded with vitamin E, antioxidants, magnesium and fiber. They can help you lose weight. Walnuts are highly contained with fiber and all sort of vitamins and minerals.
9. Meats:-
It is a misconception among many people that meat is harmful but gently cooked meat is also one of the healthiest foods. For example; Lean beef is loaded with protein and iron. Chicken Breasts are low in fat and calories but high in proteins and a great source of many nutrients.
10. Eggs:-
Eggs are the most nutritious food. Studies have shown that one egg has only 75 calories but 7 grams of high-quality protein, 5 grams of fat, and 1.6 grams of saturated fat, along with iron, vitamins, minerals and carotenoids. Eggs contain large amount of nutrients like lutein and zeaxanthin which are considered as disease-fighting nutrients.
These foods are considered as the healthiest foods on this planet. They must be included in your everyday diet as they provide you with great advantages and they contain many useful nutrients which can keep our body in shape and can prevent our body from many diseases.
I have suggested you the things that you must eat now I will suggest you the things you should avoid eating or should maintain very low consumption of them as some of them may be impossible for you to avoid.
1. Fast Foods:-
On this point you might hate me because I am going to spoil your fun by saying that fast foods like delicious zinger burgers, Arabian Pizzas, Mexican Tacos etc are considered as the unhealthiest food and can be responsible for many diseases. Daily intake of these things disturbs your metabolism and diet and makes you unhealthy and chubby. I would suggest you to totally avoid fast food or to eat once in every two weeks if you can’t avoid it completely.
2. French Fries and Potato Chips:-
The thing that every child and adult eat ungrudgingly is also considered as the unhealthiest food. They are the main cause of weight gain because they are very high in calories and they are very easy to eat in excess.
3. Pastries, Cookies and Cakes:-
Pastries, cookies and cakes are extremely unhealthy. They are made with sugar and flour but added unhealthy fat which can happily make you a chubby person. Better avoid them.
4. Ice Cream:-
I am sorry if I am going to break your heart but I have to say it that ice cream despite the most delicious thing or dessert is also an unhealthy food. They are loaded with sugar and contain very high calories. Those who eat it as dessert vitiate themselves because they are adding it all on top of the calorie intake.
5. Candy Bars:-
Candy Bars are extremely unhealthy. Again a high source of calories and unhealthy fats shows no mercy to you and will make you fat no matter what. Mainly children like these types of candy bars. I would request their parents to stop their children from consuming them in excess. Candy bars can also rot their teeth.
Beside them there are also many unhealthy foods that you must figure out. You must avoid those foods as some of the foods can be fatal or deadly as well. Those foods that contain added sugar, refined grains, industrial vegetable oils and artificial fats are considered as unhealthy. You must read labels of all foods whether healthy or not before consuming them.
“Prevention is better than cure”. You must prevent yourself from unhealthy foods that can cause you troubles and sometimes the troubles can be deep and curing them is simply the worst thing believe me.
